He wanted to provide New Zealand industry with a superb general engineering service that epitomised the Kiwi notion that anything is possible. If the experts said it couldn't be done, he took great pleasure in proving them wrong.

And nothing much has changed.

Sure, the machinery is now high tech, but Eric Paton Ltd still places a great deal of emphasis on good old fashioned skill and craftsmanship.

We still enjoy the challenge of providing solutions to seemingly impossible problems.

If customers are impressed by fancy buildings and plush offices, they won't get very excited over our set up.

But, on the other hand, if a customer doesn't care too much about appearances and wants to work with people who know what they are doing, they'll feel right at home.

This explains why, after 50 years, our company still attracts work from all around the country.

And it explains whey those people who have worked in New Zealand industry for a number of years automatically think of Eric Paton Ltd when they have any general engineering requirement.
